Starter settings to audition
These are proposed manual recipes, not installed factory presets or Aubrey-approved sounds. Use constant 4/4 and start offset 0. Clear points before each recipe, set the initial rate, then add the listed points. Bar numbers are the labels visible in the plugin, not zero-based offsets. Loop is on. Start with a quiet dry source and adjust Mix to taste.
| Recipe | Initial | Timing points (bar → rate) | Mode | Transition | Feedback | Mix |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Original journey | 1/8 | 17 → 2 bars; 19 → 1/16 | Smooth | 100 ms | 0.45 | 0.30 |
| Tape journey | 1/8 | 17 → 2 bars; 19 → 1/16 | Tape | 500 ms | 0.45 | 0.30 |
| Gradual opening | 1/8 | 17 → 1/4; 33 → 1/2; 49 → 1 bar | Smooth | 180 ms | 0.40 | 0.25 |
| Phrase endings | 1/8 | 8 → 1/4 dotted; 9 → 1/8; 16 → 1/2; 17 → 1/8 | Smooth | 80 ms | 0.35 | 0.25 |
| Tightening motion | 1/2 | 17 → 1/4; 33 → 1/8; 49 → 1/16 | Smooth | 120 ms | 0.40 | 0.25 |
| Tape lift | 1/4 | 9 → 1/8; 17 → 1/4; 25 → 1/8 | Tape | 500 ms | 0.35 | 0.25 |
A sustained source shows Tape pitch movement clearly; sparse percussion exposes repeat timing. After Aubrey auditions and adjusts these, save approved versions as host presets and nominate names/settings for the future factory bank. Avoid presenting generated test tones as his music.
